You will work with idea development, screenwriting, directing, cinematography, sound, lighting, editing and post-production. You will be taught by professional filmmakers, and we invite guest teachers with experience from the film industry. Work as Filmmaker

One of the hardest things to find as a filmmaker is time. Time to develop an idea, rewrite it, test it, shoot it, make mistakes and keep working until the film becomes what you want it to be. .

You will have access to professional film equipment and work as part of a film crew, where everyone takes responsibility for making the production succeed. Develop Your Filmmaking Skills

We use DaVinci Resolve, where you can develop your skills in editing, sound, colour grading and post-production.

At the same time, you will learn how the different roles on a film crew work together and gain practical experience of collaborating with directors, cinematographers, actors, screenwriters, sound designers, editors and producers.

Perhaps you already know that you want to direct. Perhaps you discover that cinematography, screenwriting or editing is where your real passion lies.

That is an important part of the course: becoming clearer about where you see yourself within filmmaking and the film industry.

Create Films You Can Take With You

Short film, web series or microdrama? You will have the opportunity to work with different formats and develop productions with the ambition of creating something you are genuinely proud of.

The films you make are not simply classroom exercises. They are real productions that give you practical experience and can become part of the work you take with you when applying for further education or pursuing new opportunities within film. Our teachers can guide you through every part of the process – from the first concept and script development to shooting, editing and the final production.

The course culminates in an official film premiere at the historic BioMors cinema, where your films are screened for an audience on the big screen.

An Ambitious Filmmaking Environment Across Subjects

At Højskolen Mors, you can build a folk high school experience with a strong focus on film by combining Film Production with our other filmmaking subjects.

If you want to develop your stories and work more intensively with scripts and dramaturgy, you can choose Screenwriting. Screenwriter.

If you are interested in working in front of the camera and exploring the relationship between actors and directors, you can combine Film Production with Film acting.

And if you want to tell stories based on real life or explore more experimental approaches to moving images, you can choose Documentary & Video Art.
