Choir at Højskolen Mors – Community, Joy of Singing, and Musical Development

Choir at Højskolen Mors is a shared subject where community, the joy of singing, and musical development take center stage. The subject is open to everyone – regardless of experience – and requires no prerequisites. You do not need to be able to read sheet music or have sung before. The most important thing is the desire to sing together with others.

In choir class, we work with basic vocal technique, voice training, and vocal warm-ups. You will learn to sing in different vocal parts and gain insight into key choral techniques such as tone, expression, and blending. The teaching gives you a better understanding of music and interaction within a choir.

We sing a varied repertoire that spans from rhythmic and classical pieces to folk songs – often in multi-part arrangements. This offers both musical challenges and a powerful sense of community.

Choir is a cross-disciplinary subject at the folk high school, where students from different programs and interests meet. This creates an inclusive environment where you can develop your voice, gain musical skills, and become part of an engaged community.
