Music production and songwriting at Højskolen Mors - create your own music

Do you dream of writing and producing your own music? At Højskolen Mors, you can immerse yourself in music production and songwriting and learn to compose, produce, and mix your own tracks. We work with everything from beats and chord progressions to lyrics and ideas, and only your creativity sets the limits.

You will be introduced to creative writing exercises and modern music production, where you work both individually and collaboratively. Together, we develop your skills in composition, lyric writing, and production, and you receive ongoing feedback and guidance so you can find your own sound and style as a songwriter.

We work with both digital music production in the studio and acoustic music, and you have access to the school’s music studio around the clock. Here you can record your own songs and experience your music being played at, for example, café evenings and concerts at the school.

The subject is for everyone – you do not need any experience with music production or instruments. The most important thing is that you are curious, creative, and eager to create music.

DAWs? It is possible to work with Ableton, Logic, and Studio One.

Do you want to go all in on music? At Højskolen Mors , you can combine music production and songwriting with subjects such as Music and Music Theory . This gives you both a strong understanding of musical structure and plenty of practical experience playing, singing, and creating music together – a creative folk high school experience with music at the center.
