28. juli – 3. august 2024
Teachers:
Anna Hyberg (dans), Lars Bo Kujahn (musik), Else Mathiassen. (Kursusleder)
Join us for an exciting course with oriental dance, music and world choirs!
On this exciting week-long course, you can choose between 3 different lines: Oriental Dance, Oriental Music and World Choir.
The week consists of workshops within the 3 lines intertwined with exciting joint activities, high school spirit and delicious food!
Oriental dance:
On the dance line, we must explore our dance expression, we must be free and get used to the movements in oriental dance.
We move into the dance based on the music. In an easily accessible way, we are introduced to contexts and theory. We explore the basic principles of dance and develop them in improvisation at all dance levels.
There will be themed modules with music and different styles of dance such as classical Rags Shargi, Baladi.
All together for daily classes with live music where we explore the different rhythms and the many layers in the music. Likewise, the song will also be our inspiration.
The level of dancers is for slightly experienced/experienced
Oriental music
The level for percussion instruments ranges from beginners to advanced, while melody and chord instruments should be slightly practiced/practiced. All instruments are welcome.
Work is done both with sheet music and by ear. We will work with both folk and classical music from the Middle East/Turkey/Balkans.
The choir is for you who want to sing - and try new keys with songs from all over the world - and Denmark.
At the Music Team, you must bring your own instrument - there is, however, bass/guitar/keyboard/perc. and drum kit available.
All at the college with the college's traditions for the broad general education in the form of stories, performances, group singing, lectures and festive get-togethers.
