Jannik Dahl Pedersen
Teacher in Film Production, Video Art and Documentary, Screenwriting and Acting for Film
Jannik holds a Master’s degree in Film Studies and is a trained film director from 18Frames. As a director, he has created several award-winning short films, including Trekanter af Lykke, which ranked in the Top 10 on Ekko’s Shortlist. Over the past 10 years, he has worked professionally in the film industry in various roles — as a director, screenwriter, assistant director, actor, and also as a Pre-Jury member at the Odense International Film Festival. Most recently, he created the Instagram web series Kampen for Tilværelsen, which competed in the main competition at Series Mania in Lille. On the side, Jannik is part of the podcast Sløjtlæsning, regularly performing across Denmark, including shows at Comedy Zoo in Copenhagen and Teatret Svalegangen in Aarhus.

Nicolai Westmark
Teacher in Creative Writing & Author Workshops, Sociology, Nature in Us, and Society & Existence
Nicolai's interest can be summed up in two words: Society and existence. What expectations, frames and bonds are created by society? And how do we find meaning in it?
Nicolai is a cand.scient.pol. from Aarhus University, and after some time in the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Elderly, and as a teacher at Silkeborg Højskole, Nicolai is now teaching the social sciences area at Højskolen Mors. Nicolai's teaching is characterized by his enormous curiosity and desire to be present and present in everything he does.

Maja Ingemann Nielsen
Teacher in Outdoor Life and Water Sports
Unique adventures await you with surfing the waves of Cold Hawaii and spending nights under the stars, right in the heart of nature. Join Maja out in sun and rain, where nature’s energy becomes part of our everyday life at the folk high school.
Maja loves the outdoor life and also invites you on kayaking trips on the Limfjord, hikes across the heath, through the forest, among the dunes, refreshing cold sea dips, and warming sweat lodges.
Maja holds a three-year qualification as an outdoor life guide from Bø in Norway and has many years of experience from folk high schools and her own business, MIN Håndkraft. She combines outdoor activities with her passion for traditional crafts in wood and willow.
Everyone is welcome – you just need to bring warm clothes and good shoes. Get closer to nature and let it fill you with energy and joy.

BIRTE Kildahl-HØGH
"Jack-of-all-trades" and teaching Creative Space, Ceramic and Drawing
Birte is the schools "Jack-of-all-trades"". She's both a helping hand in the cleaning-department and a teacher. She helps keeping the school neat and clean, both outside and inside. In addition, Birte teaches Creative workshop, where you have room and a great environment for nurturing your creative growth, Ceramicswhere you can craft beautiful creations in clay, and even in Drawing.
Birte is a trained teacher from the Free Teachers' School in Ollerup and has also attended the Art Academy in Aarhus. She loves working creatively with the garden, ceramics, wood turning, drawing, sewing, knitting and much more.

MADS Østergaard
Intern in Music and Party Band
Mads is our thoroughly musical intern. He learned to play the piano before he could read or do math. If you’re struggling to learn a riff or figure out the right chord progression by ear, you can always turn to him for help.
Additionally, Mads is a fourth-generation native of Mors and knows everything worth knowing about the island—for example, where to find the best hikes or the quirkiest shops.

Bettina Sterring

In the kitchen you will find our fantastic kitchen chef, Bettina. In addition to delicious food, Bettina also creates a good atmosphere in the kitchen, where you'll always feel welcome! Since she got an apprenticeship in 1987, she has worked with food - both as a chef, self-employed and product developer. Basically, she just likes to make people happy, by serving some food they like! In her spare time, Bettina enjoys hiking, reading books and spending time with her friends, children and grandchildren.

Line Degn Christensen
PR Officer, Teacher of Danish for Beginners, and Permaculture Design Instructor
Line Degn is the PR Officer at Højskolen Mors, specializing in visual communication, digital marketing, and design. With a BA in Visual Communication and an MA in Production Design from the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen, she combines creativity and strategy to enhance the school’s profile both nationally and internationally.
In addition to her PR work, Line teaches Danish for beginners to the school’s international students and contributes to the Permaculture courses with Permaculture Design. With a focus on holistic, sustainable design, she inspires students to think climate-friendly, creatively, and sustainably—whether working in urban environments or in the countryside.

Tore Beck Carstensen
Teacher in Sustainable Woodworking
Tore trained as a cabinetmaker in 2009 and earned an MA in Design – Furniture and Space from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design, in 2018. He has received working grants from the Danish Arts Foundation for several consecutive years and has exhibited in both Norway and Denmark.
But most importantly, Tore is a warm and very pleasant person—someone you want to learn from and spend many hours with.

Camilla is in her fourth gap year and was previously a student at Højskolen Mors. She is passionate about film and is always ready with a fun movie fact. Besides film, she loves being creative with all sorts of quirky projects and can usually be found with a cup of tea in hand. During her gap years, she has worked as a guide around Europe and loves sharing all the stories from her guests.

Maria Lucia Majgaard
Intern in Permaculture and Wild Food
Maria Lucia was previously a student at the folk high school in spring 2021, where she discovered permaculture and fell in love with its methods and philosophy. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Physics and Biology, she has now returned to Mors to continue her work in the permaculture garden, this time as an intern. Maria Lucia is also a dedicated scout and can easily be persuaded to light a campfire for bread on a stick or plan a shelter trip. In addition, she loves staying active and has spent much of her free time in recent years as a cheerleader.

Albert Roed Dalsgaard
Intern in Music, Music Production & Songwriting, and Language & Worldbuilding
Albert is a former student of the folk high school and has now returned as an intern to teach Electronic Music and Songwriting. He has been playing and writing music for many years, and there is often music happening—either in his head, on the computer, or on the piano. Albert holds a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Creative & Professional Writing, and he loves language, listening to where people come from, and how they speak.

If you want to taste the world's best fishcakes, then you have to stick around when Nina is in the kitchen! Nina has worked with food for over twenty years, and you can taste it in all the nice food she prepares for us several times a day. Nina is a trained caterer and dietitian, and when she is not to be found in the school kitchen, you can find her in the garden, on walks in nature or with her two daughters.

Fie started with us as a young staff member, quickly charming everyone with her enthusiasm and great stories. She became a valuable part of the team, and today she is a permanent member of the kitchen staff. We are happy to have Fie on the team!
When Fie isn’t at work, you’ll often find her on the tennis court, enjoying a game and staying active. She is also very family-oriented and loves spending time with her loved ones.
