Film Acting – Learn to Stand Before the Camera

Do you dream of becoming an actor and standing before the camera – perhaps inspired by big names like Margot Robbie or Mads Mikkelsen? At Højskolen Mors, you can take the first steps of your journey with film acting.

Learn acting for film and television

The subject Film acting focuses on working in front of the camera and developing your skills in acting for film and television. The teaching is relevant both for those who dream of a career as an actor and for those who are curious about the medium of film and want to understand how acting works on screen.

You work on your personal development as an actor through practical exercises, recordings, and film screenings. You will gain a deeper understanding of film acting as a discipline and build a stronger relationship with the camera.

The difference between theater and film acting

Geminis svar An important part of the teaching is understanding the difference between theater and film acting. You will learn to work with the subtle, nuanced emotions that characterize acting in front of the camera.

We work with, among other things:

  • Character work and role understanding
  • Authenticity and presence in front of the camera
  • Interaction with other actors
  • Fundamental acting technique

Teaching at Højskolen Mors is for all levels. Whether you have experience with acting or have never stood in front of a camera before, you will be met right where you are.

Combine with Film Production & Videoart

At Højskolen Mors you can combine Film acting with the subjects Film Production and Documentary & Video Art. It gives you the opportunity to work on your own projects from several angles

  • As an actor in front of the camera
  • As a director or co-producer on your own films
  • As a video artist, where you can experiment with visual storytelling

This combination gives you a holistic insight into the world of film and opens the door to creative collaborations, where you can develop scriptwriting, acting, film technique, and visual art all at once.
